frequently asked questions

What is the q-loader?
The q-loader is high performance clip-based paintball loading system. It uses 100 round spring-powered clips that are reloaded off the field.

Where can I buy a q-loader?
Online at www.qloader.com or by calling 1.800.910.4522.

How fast is the q-loader?
Pretty fast. The speed varies depending on the number of pre-winds applied to the spring and the configuration of the feed tube. With the maximum number of pre-winds (16) and no feed tube or elbow, the q-pod will empty a full 100 rounds in just over 1 second.

Does the q-loader use batteries?
No, the q-loader is spring-powered.

Will the q-loader feed past my detents?
No, a properly setup q-loader will not feed past your paintball-detents. This is because the q-pod feed geometry automatically increases feed pressure as a paintball begins to feed, and then decreases feed pressure after it is chambered.

Will the q-loader mount to my marker?
Most likely. The q-loader was designed to retrofit onto most markers that do not have an integrated feed system. Markers with an integrated feed system may require some customization in order for the q-loader to work. Optional mounting brackets are available that will increase the number of ways a q-loader can be mounted to your marker.

How many rounds of paint can a q-pod hold?
100 rounds.

Can you make q-pods that make more than 100 rounds of paint?
Yes, but it would be proportionately larger and heavier (which would cause other problems) so we do not intend to make them any larger for now.

Do q-pods fit into standard harnesses and belts?
The q-pods fit snugly into some packs and belts and are a bit too large for others. We do know that the M-Pack made by Top-Stitch will fit q-pods nicely.

Why did you create the q-loader?
We believed that paintball would be more fun without a hopper on top of the marker because it was noisy, in the way, and inconsistent in its function. The idea of a clip-based loader was compelling. There were already reload pods, so why not make them into a clip and put it under the marker out of the way.
